On September 12, 2013, WCIT partnered with the Pacific Merchant Shipping Association (PMSA) and the Seattle Marine Business Coalition (SMBC) to help members of the trade and maritime communities discuss issues of importance with candidates for elected office, and give them feedback on how to maintain and increase our state’s trade and maritime competitiveness.Building on the success of last year’s Gubernatorial Candidate Forum, this forum was an opportunity for four candidates for the Port of Seattle Commission – Tom Albro, Stephanie, Bowman, Pete Lewis and Stephanie Bowman – to meet with members of the trade and maritime communities, and discuss their visions for increasing Port’s role in ensuring the success of our international trade and maritime economy.
