U.S. Travel and Worker Visa Policy Reform Roundtable

Join the Washington Council on International Trade and the Trade Development Alliance of Greater Seattle for a panel discussion on the impact of current U.S. visa policies on foreign tourists, students, and workers. We will discuss the Jobs Originated Through Launching Travel (JOLT) Act, which was introduced in 2013 and could make important reforms to U.S. visa policies. Other panelists will represent the tech industry, agriculture and higher education, and we will hear their perspective on how current U.S. visa policies negatively impact their organizations and ways to resolve those issues.

Opening Remarks:
United States Representative Suzan DelBene (WA – District 1)

Hon. Stewart Verdery
Monument Policy Group / Former Asst. Secretary of Homeland Security for Policy

David Blandford
Vice President, Communications, Visit Seattle

Mike Gempler
Executive Director, Washington Growers League

Visakan Ganeson
Executive Director, International Education, Everett Community College
