Trade on the Move – A Regional Freight Mobility in Eastern Washington

On October 16, over 130 community and business leaders convened in Spokane Valley for WCIT’s first event east of the Cascades to hear a special (video) message from Representative Cathy McMorris Rodgers, a keynote address from Rosalyn Wilson, author of the State of Logistics Report, and a panel discussion featuring rail, trucking and logistics industry leaders. Speakers and panelists identified top problems that are preventing the region from becoming a multimodal gateway for trade, such as lack of a national freight plan, reduced investment in transportation infrastructure and misplaced investment priorities. You can read a full recap of the event here on the State of Trade blog.
