The WCIT Summer Trade Luncheon is an opportunity for high-level business leaders from across Washington state to gather for an update on Congressional trade policy achievements in the first six months of the year, and to look ahead to the next six months. This year, the WCIT Summer Trade Luncheon will focus on U.S. trade policy with Asia, specifically China and the Trans-Pacific Partnership.
Our keynote speaker will be Deputy United States Trade Representative Demetrios Marantis. Ambassador Marantis is responsible for U.S. trade negotiations and enforcement in Asia and Africa, and leads USTR global initiatives on trade and development, labor, and the environment. Ambassador Marantis has served in this role since 2009, before which he served as Chief International Trade Counsel for the Senate Finance Committee.
