The Washington Council on International Trade (WCIT) invites businesses and organizations involved in international trade in Washington state and the Pacific Northwest to participate in our 2023 DC Fly-In.

Every September, WCIT members gather in Washington, D.C., to jointly advocate for trade policies that sustain and grow international trade. The fly-in offers a unique chance for business owners, agricultural producers, manufacturers, exporters, importers, and other stakeholders involved in international trade to connect directly with government decision-makers in Congress and the Administration. Attendees will also receive high-level briefings from top experts on global markets.

Policy Agenda

During the event, we’ll be advocating for public policies that include, but are not limited to:

• Promoting trade as vital to Washington State’s economy
• Addressing global supply chain challenges
• Supporting Washington State agriculture to remain globally competitive
• Pursuing stronger economic ties with Asia Pacific markets
• Making trade more climate-friendly

Agenda

Tuesday, September 26 (travel day)

Fly to DC (airfare and ground transportation to be arranged and paid for by the attendee). 5:30 PM: Working dinner.

Wednesday, September 27

Meetings all day (Administration, Capitol Hill, and other key policy influencers). Lunch and Dinner included.

Thursday, September 28

Meetings all day (Administration, Capitol Hill, and other key policy influencers). Lunch included. Meetings end at approximately 4 PM to catch flights home.

Accommodations and Meals

We will be staying at Hotel Monaco in DC’s Chinatown. Registration for non-DC attendees includes a room for September 26 and 27 and lunches and dinner. Airfare and ground transportation are paid for and booked by the attendees.
