On August 8, the Washington Council on International Trade held its annual Summer Luncheon. This year, the theme of the event was “The Trade Policy View from DC,” and featured a discussion by leading Washington, DC trade policy advocates on upcoming developments in US trade policy:Chris Wenk from the US Chamber, Jon Gold from the National Retail Federation, David Thomas from the Business Roundtable and David Weller from WilmerHale.
The sold-out event – close to 150 business leaders from across the state – heard the panel share their “Inside the Beltway” insights on topics like Trade Promotion Authority, US-China trade, the Transpacific Partnership and the Trans-Atlantic Trade and Investment Partnership. In addition, one lucky guest won two roundtrip non-stop economy class tickets from Seattle to Tokyo, courtesy of United Airlines!
