China IP Road Show: What Washington Companies Need to Know

The USPTO’s China Intellectual Property (IP) Road Show comes to Seattle, Washington, bringing together policy makers and thought leaders on China IP issues from the U.S. government, academia, and practitioners—including local businesses, experts, and resources—to share insights that will benefit U.S. IP rights holders. It will feature participation by members of the USPTO’s China Team, who work nationwide to help U.S. businesses and inventors understand how to obtain and enforce their IP rights in China. Topics to be covered include:

  • Creating an IP portfolio in China—general overview
  • How to enforce IP in China
  • How to enforce IP in the United States
  • Washington businesses’ experience with IP protection in China

The China Intellectual Property Road Show series is organized by the USPTO, usually in cooperation with a USPTO regional office, a nearby U.S. Export Assistance Center(link is external), local bar associations, and other trade and IP organizations. The purpose is to provide a forum for attendees to create networks and engage in informed discussions of IP issues that affect their businesses.

Registration:

The meeting will be open to members of the public to attend on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration is free, and is required to attend the meeting in Seattle, Washington.
